Computers in the News
Students bring in newsworthy computer articles, write a review of them, and then the article and review are mounted on the disks on the bulletin board. The background of the board is newspaper.
Food for Thought: Victuals for Vacation
This bulletin board, made with paper plates, napkins, and plasticware, has a printed out hamburger and a suggestion for summer fun on each plate (i.e. "Go listen to a storyteller", "Bring a book to the beach", etc.)
Bet You Can't Read Just One!
As the result of an LM-NET posting, this bulletin board was chosen as a good one for introducing series books to students.
It's Always Time to Read!
"I have a curved area in my library with 7 4'x4' bulletin boards over
7 4'x4' windows so this is especially nice but I have used it on other large
boards, too. Each clock (plastic clocks costing about $5.00 each at a
discount store) is set to a different time zone and labeled with the
place. The slogan "IT'S ALWAYS TIME TO READ!" is in large letters over the top.
The clocks can be changed to fit classroom projects. Kids and adults alike
enjoying seeing what time it is in other places around the world."
