Product Overview
Designed for listeners of all ages, and particularly for little ones, this beautiful arrangement of traditional Latin American lullabies and original compositions by Juanita Newland-Ulloa is at once relaxing and inspiring.

This is Volume 3 in the Conta Conmiga family music series. While the first two volumes in the series were livelier bilingual family music, Mariposa is designed for more tranquil moments. The 17 tracks feature clear vocals, beautiful melodies, and gentle lullabies. The title track, Mariposa (Butterfly), is an uplifting song sung in both English and Spanish. Some traditional Latin American lullabies include the Caribbean Duerme Negrito, Senora Santana, and the traditional Californian Arrurru Mi Nino Chiquito (Arrurru, Sleep My Little Child). Original pieces include an instrumental lullaby composed for Juanita's daughter Para Cristina, the title tracks, and a lively lullaby entitled A Dormir (Time to Sleep).

This title is designed for both Latin-American families, and those who are interested in learning about Hispanic culture and language. Lullabies are not only comforting and easy on the ears, they afford the opportunity for children to pick up all the sounds of the featured language. As such, Mariposa is perfectly suited to those interested in introducing a second language to their little ones early in life.
